Amr Shabaik is the Legal Director for CAIR-LA overseeing CAIR-LA’s civil rights department, immigrants’ rights center, and Center for the Prevention of Hate and Bullying. These departments work to ensure that the rights of Muslim Americans, immigrants, and other marginalized communities are protected and expanded and that the members of our community are civically empowered and engaged.    

Prior to his role as the Legal and Policy Director, Amr served as the Senior Civil Rights Managing Attorney for CAIR-LA providing legal services to individuals who are victims of discrimination from both the government and private entities. 

Amr received his B.A. in Ethnic Studies from University of California, San Diego and received his J.D. from the University of Southern California, Gould School of Law.
